Upcoming Election
Barack Obama has a very good chance of being elected. It has nothing to do with being the first African American to run. And it shouldn't. The people who vote need to keep in mind that it is not anything but whether or not the person elected can run this country the way the forefathers intended. Yes they only gave the slave a fifth of the vote. We are past that, or should be. The Constitution applies equally to all. The elected President needs to realize this and get this country back on tract. The past administration has over step the line in more than one case, and we need to revert back to being a strong democracy. I believe that Mr. Obama can do this. Will he be popular with everyone, no way. People need to realize that everything a person promises while running for election, will not favor everyone. People need to pick the person who will lead us as the majority wants. Not what the individual President wants. Mr. Bush, in my opinion, went to far on a personal agenda in his fight on terrorism. He has put us in the same light as Bin Laden. We are no better than a terrorist in these other countries now. Once Saddam Hussein was captured, we should have left Iraq to their own people. That was the goal that Mr. Bush had and he fulfilled that goal. There was nothing left to do. We should have left then, and need to leave now. The newly elected President is going to inherit a bad scene. We need to elect someone that will get us back to a strong economic nation. We need to concentrate on fixing this country for a while. The rest of the world will not go away. Remember this come election time. Do not vote because I am a democrat, I vote for Obama or I am a republican, I vote for Cain, if that is not the person who will fix our problems.

This is my view only, but this election, while being historic, means a lot for getting this country fixed. People need to vote with that in mind, not just party lines.
